Transferring to American universities

Transferring is an inherent part of the 2+2 American Bachelors’ Degree Program. To complete the bachelor’s degree, the student must transfer to an American university, after the second year at NMS West Campus. The transfer concept is popular in the United States, with many states having a defined 2+2 route among the smaller colleges and larger state universities.

After year 2, the student applies as a transfer student to a foreign university, and asks for credits to be transferred. After the admission to the foreign university is confirmed, the credits are transferred according to that university’s transfer policies. The student will then complete the remaining credits to obtain the bachelor’s degree.

The Florida 2+2 Pathways to Success

Florida state institutions have come together to articulate an agreement by which students who study in one institution will be able to transfer their credits into another Florida institution. This transfer system enables a student to do an Associate of Arts degree in one institution, and transfer to complete the bachelor’s degree in another institution with a certain level of guarantee. Students who do the NMS West Campus 2 year Associate of Arts degree program will be able to transfer their credits with ease into Florida state universities. The students also get a Guaranteed Admission into Florida state universities provided their GPA in the first two years is 3.0 and above.
